Behold: Escolta’s much-anticipated coworking space, First Coworking Community, which MB Life first reported on Instagram last February.
The First Coworking Community, located at Escolta’s ground zero for revival, the First United Building, has been on soft opening since April 17. It’s at P350 a day, soft opening rate they told us, which includes refillable coffee, high-speed internet, free printing of documents, and free use of microwave, so yes! You can totally bring your own chow here.
FCC has tables spread across two units on the fifth floor of the Art Deco building. It can accommodate 35 hardworking people, which floor seatings by the large windows for laid back individuals, bar stools for those on solo flights, and communal tables for everyone.
The repurposed space is designed by One/zero collective, an award-winning architectural design firm, which also holds office at the First United.
The First United Building, as we mentioned, is the ground zero for Escolta’s revival. Incubation space for small businesses, Hub: Make Lab, occupies the first floor, where the Saturday Future Markets were once held. At the back end of Hub is The Den, MB Life’s favorite coffee place.
On the second floor are the community museum and 98B Collaboratory HQ. And with First Coworking Community on the fifth floor is Manila Who, the MB Life approved touring/game company.
The First Coworking Community is open from 8am-6pm from Monday to Friday. The First Coworking Community throws an open house every Saturday, which means free tables—at least while it is on soft opening.
