Happy weekend, everybody! To celebrate, we suggest listening to these new songs and updating your playlist. *wink*

1. “Told You So” by Paramore

Our favorite pop-punk band is back with new songs. Their new song “Told You So” debuted on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show just last May 3. It follows the catchy first single “Hard Times” under their new album After Laughter coming out next week.

2. “J-Boy” by Phoenix

Last March 4, Karpos Multimedia surprised the crowd at Wanderland Music Festival with the announcement that Phoenix is coming back to Manila later this year. And now, the French alternative rock band released their newest single under their sixth album, Ti Amo. FYI: J-Boy stands for “Just because of you,” aww! <3

3. “Want You Back” by HAIM

From their much anticipated second album Something to Tell You, HAIM is back with their single “Want You Back.” The song is so heartbreaking to the point that we want to cry after listening to it. It sounds OA, but try to read these lyrics and tell us we’re wrong: “But just know that I want you back/Just know that I want you back/Just know that I want you/I’ll take the fall and the fault in us/I’ll give you all the love I never gave before I left you.”

4. “Thunder” by Imagine Dragons

From the band that shot to fame with their song “It’s Time” in 2012, is back with their new single “Thunder”. The music video of the song was primarily filmed in the Dubai Design District. It now has over 5 million views on YouTube.”

5. “Eyes Closed” by Halsey

If you want more feels-trip, listen to this new song by Halsey. Co-written by The Weeknd, Halsey released a new single under her sophomore album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom. Trivia: when the Canadian singer-songwriter was working with his song “Starboy”, he started writing the melody for this. At that time, he also has the idea of giving it to Halsey. Based on its melody, Halsey wrote a poem for it.

6. “Young And Menace” by Fall Out Boy

As they announced their upcoming album entitled, M A N I A, Fall Out Boy released a new music video for the album’s lead single, “Young And Menace.” Moving away from the punk, rock n’ roll, the band now gives us the taste of their EDM sound. The band will release their seventh album M A N I A on September.

7. “Galway Girl” by Ed Sheeran

Maybe this song is already included in your playlist, but allow yourself to watch the video shot by the singer-songwriter himself! Yes, you read it right. The official music video for “Galway Girl,” which stars the Irish actress Saoirse Ronan in the lead role, was filmed by Sheeran in the City of Tribes.
