Good riddance, 2015! You were amazing but we’re looking forward for better things to come. It’s time to bid goodbye to the year that was and move on to higher hopes and dreams this 2016. After all, the glorious moments we have last year are quite hard to beat!

We asked a few youngsters what they would like to happen this year and here’s what we’ve summed up so far:

Love life FOR EVERYONE

The third wheels and Team Sawi have spoken. We’re so done beating the bush. This year, we’re going to be better versions, ready to redeem ourselves from all the hugot we’ve been through. As they say, “pinaluha mo ako ng 2015, maglalaway ka ng 2016“.

Philippine Coachella

Time to have some fun! A nice party with great music, good grub, and amazing company is perfect for de-stressing. We cry “Bring Coachella to the Philippines!” (Plus it’s also an OOTD-worthy event to flaunt our own Coachella fashion)

Back-to-back win for the Miss Universe crown

More #PinoyPride! After Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach’s took the world by storm, it would be nice if we can dominate the pageant once again and make our own take at a (real) #BackToBack win Instagram post (ehem, no offense meant. #HotIssue). Pianatics would definitely love this!

Three-peat Miss Earth win

While we’re already aiming for a back-to-back win at Miss Universe, how about a three-peat Miss Earth title? Thanks to Miss Earth 2014 and 2015 — Angelia Ong and Jamie Herrell — we have a winning streak to continue. Again, amp up that #PinoyPride we so love.

An upcoming BAEyani film

Emphasis on the “bae”, and by bae we’re referring to no other than Paulo Avelino who is set to play Gregorio del Pilar in a much-awaited biopic from Jerrold Tarog. He promised that there’s another one after Heneral Luna. And we are dying to watch another BAEyani protect us from those bad guys. Yes, save us, “Goyong”!

Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza for real.

Yes, we know that they are the ultimate #RelationshipGoals most Filipinos have in mind now but it would be a treat to the Aldub Nation to see actual posts and actual conversations from two people going on actual dates. Oh, no, we’re not saying that everything’s staged, given that Maine is exuding “real girl” vibes. Hope we can see them minus the cameras, though! (Going to rely on paparazzi scoop, of course!)

Hassle-free train rides

This is the ultimate dream for every commuter. Let’s wish that all the LRT, MRT, and PNR lines will be fully functional (air-conditioning included), fast, on time, and odor-free (no more kulob smell, please!)

More social media use minus the hate

Let’s all grow up and be a sport. Move on with the bashing and just enjoy what the amazing world of social media has to offer. Of course, be wise users as well and know the limitations of what you share online. Nonetheless, let’s make these technological advancements a medium of fun. Stop the hate. Spread peace and love!

And the list goes on and on. What do you wish to happen this 2016?
