Although Kris Aquino has not formally released any official statement about her rumored role in the movie adaptation of Crazy Rich Asians, she finally confirmed that she has signed a deal for a Hollywood film.
The Queen of All Media said on an Instagram post last Monday, June 12, that she officially signed an agreement that would make her a part of a “major Hollywood movie.”
“Sa Araw ng ating Kalayaan, nilagdaan ko na ang kasunduan para sa proyektong katuparan ng pangarap na maging bahagi ng isang “major Hollywood movie” (pasensya na po, ang hirap hanapan ng Filipino translation)…”
After this intriguing post, Kris posted an IG photo of her checking in for a flight to Singapore to shoot scenes for her debut Hollywood film. Ohh, interesting!
“Thank you for the assistance @singaporeair. Hand carrying my costumes w/ me. Thank you @michaelleyva_ & THE @michael5inco for truly making me gowns befitting a “princess”- yes, flying to fulfill a dream. SHOOTING this week in Singapore. #ThankYouGod,” she wrote.
According to Strait Times, some roads in Singapore will be closed for three days for the Crazy Rich Asians movie shoot. As of writing, the only Filipino confirmed to be in the movie is comedian Nico Santos.
Kris first gave a hint when she signed a management contract with a Los Angeles-based talent agency, East West Artists last April.
We wish you good luck, Krissy!
