National Book Store is bringing back the biggest gathering of readers and writers in ‘The Philippine Readers and Writers Festival’ at Raffles, Makati.
The pioneer school supply and book store has been posting details and updates on their social media accounts this past month. The official schedule of activities was posted on Friday.
From August 25 – 28, indulge on literature through a series of book signing and launching events, talks, and panel discussions on books, literature, and culture. Yay!
Local authors including Ricky Lee, Pete Lacaba, Edcel Lagman, Lloyd Cadena, June Digan, Raymund Isaac, Francis Kong, Rod Marmol, Charissa Ong, Shakira Sison, and Abbey Sy will be discussing on various topics of writing, storytelling, engaging the online readers, among many others.
Bestselling international authors Pierce Brown (Red Rising trilogy) and Mark Danielewski (House of Leaves) will also participate in the festival. Each of the authors’ highlight events will allow them to speak about their works and sign books from their Filipino readers.
The best part: admission is totally free. Yup. FREE.
Remember though, that books qualified for book signing events are only those purchased from NBS, NBS Express, or Powerbooks with official receipts or book price stickers on.
If you have no copies yet, don’t worry. Books will be available for purchase at the venue.
Are you excited for The Philippine Readers and Writers Festival 2017? We are for sure!
