The online Filipino community are now calling out for the removal of Mocha Uson as Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) assistant secretary.
This comes after the latter challenged Vice President Leni Robredo, Sen. Antonio Trillanes III, and Sen. Risa Hontiveros in a tweet to visit the wake of a slain cop, citing an article by the Inquirer published a year ago. The three were among those who visited the 17-year-old drug victim Kian delos Santos’ wake.
“Waiting…” she simply wrote on the caption.
What Uson certainly did not wait for is a swarm of tweets calling for her ouster.
The #FireMocha topped the Twitter trends list overnight, accumulating thousands of tweets from netizens seemingly fed up with President Rodrigo Duterte’s appointee.
Shortly after she tweeted, netizens pointed out that her profile went private. As of writing, Uson’s tweet is no longer on her timeline.
While netizens were serious for the most part, some were just too funny. Here are some of the best tweets we’ve seen so far:

But we deserve better. We really do.
Uson later responded to the #FireMocha petition, pointing out an article published by online news organization Rappler.
“Maria Maria yan ba ang newsworthy sa inyo?? Bagong taktika nanaman para tabunan nang tuluyan si ANDY BAUTISTA?” she posted, with a screenshot of Rappler’s CEO Maria Ressa tweeting the story.
