Swifties all over the world are ~shookt~!
American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift just released exciting details of her brand new album, Reputation.
The first single off of her new album will also be out, evening of August 25.
The announcement was made through all of her official social media accounts. Blank space no more, eh?
Following months of what TIME describes as “keeping a low profile and a social media blackout,” the singer finally unveiled her 6th studio album set for a November 10 release. This is Swift’s first album since 1989 back in 2014.
The singer has been posting cryptic videos of slithering snakes these past days after deleting all her entries on Instagram, Tumblr, and Twitter early Friday, making all of her followers wonder what Tay-Tay is up to.
While the album’s theme is unclear, it seems that the reptile is a reference to a diss directed at her called #TaylorSwiftIsASnake, according to CNN. Snake emojis were directed at her on social media after her much-publicized break-up and feud with DJ Calvin Harris in June 2016.
Early February 2016, she also had heated exchanges with Kanye West – and wife, Kim Kardashian – over a line in the rapper’s song “Famous” that Swift allegedly approved.
“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that b**ch famous,” the song goes.
The 27-year-old singer denied in a statement that the conversation ever happened. Kardashian later released a recording of the phone call between West and Swift. The clip, however, never showed the singer approving of the lyric.
All of this made headlines in American tabloids and gossip websites, which probably explains why the album art for “Reputation” features the singer in black and white partially covered with overlapping graphics of newspapers with ‘Taylor Swift’ written all over.
Swifties took to Twitter to express support for the singer’s upcoming music.
