Following the band’s release of “Cold” in collaboration with Future and “Don’t Want to Know” with Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) artist Kendrick Lamar, Maroon 5 dropped their third latest single “What Lovers Do” featuring neo-soul singer SZA on Wednesday, August 30.
As the pop-rock band (although they seems to be more pop than rock these days) gears up for their sixth full-length upcoming album, they collaborated with R&B singer SZA for the poppy cut of a more laid-back song following the recent footsteps of their previous releases. Currently, the band seems to be more calming and relaxing than before, which probably front-man Adam Levine might be aiming for.
The promotion of the band’s untitled record, started months before they released their two initial tracks: “Cold” and “Don’t Want to Know,” which earned them No. 6 in billboard giving them their 12th Top 10 cut and no. 16 in Hot 100 respectively. Although there are no concrete details of the album’s release, the band are giving hints that it will be dropped sooner.
The band is famous for their songs “Won’t Go Home Without You,” “She Will Be Loved,” “This Love,” “Payphone,” and many more.
