On Monday, Sept 4, the Quezon City PIO tweeted a photo of Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos and QC Mayor Herbert Bautista in an agricultural road show called ‘Pinak-best’ in Quezon City Hall.

It’s just a normal event update not after Twitter user @Ohhkey retweeted it with the caption: “Luh may paganyan si Mayor? Ayaw ni Kris nyan.”
Luh may paganyan si Mayor? Ayaw ni Kris nyan. 😂 https://t.co/U0atPtkiSQ

This tweet was followed by the QC PIO admin’s remark saying that there’s “nothing political” with the said photo.
Nothing political here. What were after is help bridge Ilocos producers & QC consumers

It was followed by another tweet from Twitter user skullohmania.
Buti may time siya diyan ano? Eh ‘yong malagyan man lang ng ilaw ang kalakhan ng Commonwealth Avenue sana may panahon siya.
— skullohmania (@skullohmania) September 3, 2017
And it seems that the QC PIO admin was ~triggered~, he replied again with the most controversial tweet. Uh-oh.
Kung ginamit mo lang bungo mo sa pag-research, ano. DPWH may sakop ng Commonwealth at hindi LGU.

Of course, netizens can’t fathom the fact that they would be reading these tweets from an official Twitter account managed by the QC local government. Here are some of the winning tweets we’ve seen:
Kung feeling n’yo ikina-witty n’yo ‘yan, RIP public service 😬 ‘di na uso talaga disente ngayon, ano? Eye for an eye labanan. Mana sa pinuno!

The term “public servant” no longer applies to some government workers. What has become of our once gentle country?

Keep it classy.
Tsaka utak yung pinangreresearch. Or if you want to get literal, mata. Kasi yun pinangbabasa.

Ayan kasi bungo ginamit mo. Maayos naman ang tanong sa iyo bakit pabalang ka sumagot. Di ba niyo kayang magsilbi ng maayos?
— babystep sparrow (@babystepsparrow) September 4, 2017
minsan utak gamitin niyo sa pagiisip ng itweet wag bungo. Try niyo hindi nakakabobo yun. Hindi tulad ng nagtweet nito.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, QC PIO officer-in-charge Ares Gutierrez said that he already asked the Twitter admin regarding the incident.
“Tao lang din ‘yang administrators, napuno lang. ‘Yung tao has been up since yesterday, magha-handover pa lang siya, tapos ganun ang gagawin,” he said.
He also clarified that they will remain with the “maximum tolerance” policy in answering tweets but stressed that they will still “deal with trolls by speaking their language” because “they don’t deserve decency.”
“They go online and sabotage the government communications machinery. They also do that to public figures,” he added.
