English singer and songwriter Sam Smith just released teasers of his upcoming single, “Too Good at Goodbyes” – and our hearts are already breaking into pieces over the lyrics.
Smith has been posting teasers on his social media channels this past few days.
“The wait is nearly over,” the artist simply wrote on the caption of his latest teaser video.
The mute, 15-second preview revealed heart-wrenching lines from his new song, set to be released on September 8.
Every time you walk out / The less I love you / Baby, we don’t stand a chance / It’s sad but it’s true
Kalma, mah heart, mah soul!
This will be the singer’s first single in nearly three years since putting out his critically-acclaimed and commercially-successful debut studio album, In The Lonely Hour.
The four-time Grammy award-winner has been campaigning his forthcoming music in billboards across the U.S. and England.
Early last week, Smith penned a heartfelt note to his fans with a good news that, TBH, everyone’s been waiting for.
“I have missed you all desperately, and a day hasn’t gone by when I haven’t been looking at all your comments & dreaming of singing with you all again, The wait is so nearly over. Something is coming very very very soon. I am scared & excited at the same time. I’ve poured my soul and heart into this record,” he posted on Instagram.
The singer first rose to fame in 2012 when he was featured on Disclosure’s breakthrough single “Latch.” He has since produced massive hits such as “Stay With Me,” “Lay Me Down,” “Money On My Mind,” “I’m Not The Only One,” and “Like I Can.”
