Ready your wallets, kiddos, because Apple has finally unveiled not just one, but three of its latest iPhones!
The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, which will be both available for pre-orders on Sept 15 and officially hitting stores on the 22nd, prides itself for being standouts among its former predecessors – unlike their older counterparts, these new iPhones come in the form of glass instead of the usual aluminium to accommodate its wireless charging feature.
Like the iPhone 7 though, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus still do not come with headphone jacks.
And just when you thought that the iPhone’s camera couldn’t get any better, they also announced the new series’ upgrade. The Portrait mode, which the seventh edition exclusively owns, will also make a comeback on the new phones only with more improvements. The iPhone 8 Plus’ front cam brandishes a 12 megapixel sensor which helps it produce higher quality images. Its Portrait mode will also let a user adjust lighting for better portrait images. The iPhone 8 Plus’ new sensors also come with an aperture tool which will bring out the aspiring photographer in everyone.
And to top this all off, Apple also finally revealed its rumoured $999 iPhone – the iPhone X.
Dubbed by most as Apple’s most “ambitious” innovation, the iPhone X will feature an inch to inch display screen and will omit the usual home button. Face recognition will be utilized to unlock the phone itself along with Apple Pay and the iOS’ beloved emojis will now be more personalized than ever with the iPhone X’s Animoji. Like the iPhone 8, the iPhone X is made of glass for wireless charging and is completely water and dust proof.
Unlike the iPhone 8 however, the iPhone X will be available for a much later date— October 27th
