Intramuros is known as one of the oldest districts in Manila. Inside the Walled City, religion (churches!), arts and culture (museums), and history (practically the entire neighborhood) come together.
It is also home to universities such as Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Mapua University, Lyceum of the Philippines University, and Colegio de San Juan de Letran.
Aside from this historical landmarks and universities, there are several student-friendly food places inside the Walls. Below we list seven that have become a favorite or are slowly becoming popular among students:
1. The Kitchen
If you’re also a silog lover like us, you’ll surely love this place. The Kitchen has different silog meals that will satisfy your rainy season cravings. Can we just say that their tapsilog is the best?

2. Intramuros Wall Stall #1
One of the most famous cheap-eats inside the walls is the stall #1 located in front of LPU. It is known for different chicken dishes like the classic adobo, buttered chicken, and chicken curry. But the most popular is their spicy chicken (P65), which has the right spiciness that will make you ask for more. Yum!

Located beside Mapua University, cantunan is famous because of their instant pancit canton with cheese! It sounds weird, but maaaan, it’s so good! Most of the stalls also offer sisig, tapa, bopis, and other comfort food for only P50 with free drink. Sulit!
4. Imba Burger
Have you seen a food stall where you can customize your burger according to your preference? You can customize your burger and add all the ingredients that you want. They also serve the All-In burger which contains chicken spread, burger patty, ham, egg, hotdog, coleslaw, and cheese in between a burger bun for only P74.
Liempo meal for only P40? Only in Intramuros! This eatery serves liempo, sisig, and roasted chicken for a student-friendly price. If your saving money, but you want to eat delicious food, this place is right for ya!
6. KFC (Kwek-kwek, Fishball, Chickenball)
We all know that everyone loves KFC. No, not that fastfood chain, but our all-time-fave street food. Aside from kwek-kwek, fish ball, and chicken ball, KFC offers a variety of street food like isaw, dynamite, siomai, tofu, and more! For P20, you can have a full meal with rice.
