Are you ready, Lovatics?
American singer and songwriter Demi Lovato is back with her new studio album, Tell Me You Love Me.
The album was released via Spotify on Friday, September 29. Lovato earlier held a private album launch party for her loyal fans in New York City.
Tell Me You Love Me is the 25-year-old’s sixth studio album and is described by AllMusic as having “churchy soul to seductive slow-burners to showstopping ballads designed to showcase every single one of Lovato’s diva moves.”
It includes a total of 12 tracks, including previously released hit singles “Sorry Not Sorry,” “You Don’t Do It For Me Anymore,” and “Sexy Dirty Love.”
In a report by Billboard, Lovato said she wanted to be super open on her latest album having gone through a lot this last year and a half, one of which is the end of her relationship with boyfriend of almost six years, MMA fighter Wilmer Valderrama, which she tackles on the title track.
“The first time I heard it, it really stuck with me because at the time I was going through a breakup. It’s about the vulnerability of coming out of a very serious relationship and having a tough time with it,” she said.
The former Camp Rock lead star also gushed about having Lil Wayne feature in the song “Lonely”, saying it was a dream come true.
“I’ve always wanted to collaborate with him. My album has Lil Wayne on it and the inner-hip-hop wanna-be star that I am is freaking out. My inner-rapper is going crazy,” she explained.
Tell Me You Love Me is now available for purchase in CD and digital format worldwide.
