Local support group Anxiety and Depression Support Philippines (ADSP) is conducting a mental health benefit gig on October 28.
The group made the event announcement on their official Facebook account.
Filled with art merchandise, music, spoken word performances and interactive talk and stories, One Night Stand aims to open minds, engage people and educate for better understanding of mental health issues.
“Ang mental health ay isang usaping hindi pa ganun katanggap ng Pinoy. The stigma is still strong,” the group said.
From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., share your thoughts, stories and feelings about anxiety, depression, among many others, with fellow attendees ‘sa isang gabi ng pagniniig ng puso’t isipan‘.
Come as early as you can at the Conspiracy Garden Cafe in Quezon City because the event is on a first come, first serve basis with an entrance fee of P99. Gates will open at 4 p.m.
Established in 2012 by various volunteers, ADSP is a pro-mental health Facebook-based support group, ‘created to reach out to those who struggle with mental health condition/s like us and build a community that focuses on support, helping and understanding’.
Will you support this benefit gig for mental health? We think it’s worth it.
