The latest preview of the much-anticipated hero movie follows the events after the death of Superman in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. It shows a world full of violence, acts of war and terrorism.

While Clark Kent makes a short appearance in the trailer, Bruce Wayne/Batman (Ben Affleck) and Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) gathers metahumans such as Aquaman (Jason Mamoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) to help protect the world from Darkseid’s parademon armies and hellish landscapes.

“Divided, we are not enough. The world needs Superman, and I made him a promise, which is why I’ve brought you together,” Wayne tells the other heroes.

The movie comes after DC said it is scaling back its interconnected superhero universe. According to The Verge, films on the future of the universe will only lightly connect with one another instead of following the same model as Marvel’s Cinematic Universe.

Justice League, directed by Zack Snyder and co-written by Joss Whedon, will be out in local theaters on November 16.
