You’ll surely dream of sand on your feet and hearing the sound of ocean waves after seeing this clip.
Erich Gonzales and Jericho Rosales with Jasmine Curtis-Smith are on a dreamy beach vacation in the newly-released trailer for the Paul Soriano-directed movie, Siargao.
The teaser was made public on the director’s official Facebook account on Tuesday, October 17.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, Curtis-Smith said the film is about finding home and happiness in living a simple life.
“Kailangan mo lang talagang hanapin ‘yung organic and most pure way of living para ma-enjoy mo lahat and ma-achieve mo rin ang dreams mo while falling in love,” Curtis-Smith explained.
Shot entirely in the surfing capital of the Philippines, the movie is set to showcase the breathtaking sights and yet-to-be discovered offerings of Siargao Island in Surigao del Norte.
“We will [also] show in the movie how local government officials took bold steps to anticipate no repetition of what is now happening in Boracay due issues of waste disposal,” the 36-year-old director added.
This will be Soriano’s first dive into romantic films following his critically-acclaimed works such as the family drama Thelma, the Manny Pacquiao biopic Kid Kulafu, and the Enrique Gil-starrer Dukot.
No release date has been announced as of writing, but netizens are already excited to see the movie.
