Television and internet personality Maine Mendoza is  launching her autobiographical book, Yup, I Am That Girl.

The announcement was made on her official Facebook account.

I'm so happy to announce that I'll be launching my book #YupIAmThatGirl from @summitbooks, on Oct 26, 5 – 8 PM at TriNoma Activity Center! Registration strictly starts at 1 PM. See you there!

This will be Mendoza’s debut in the print industry as an author, her latest venture following successful stints in movie, television, Internet, and music.

Yup, I Am That Girl is “a book which reveals the real story of the kengkoy newcomer who cemented herself as Pinoy showbiz’s sweetheart in 2015 thanks to a few Dubsmash videos.”

Written in conversational – and humorous – prose, Mendoza shares details of her family life, years of growing up, her fairy tale-like showbiz journey, and life hopes and dreams.

Ahead of its official launch on October 26, the limited copies made available for purchase by local book store chain National Book Store was sold out in less than four hours.

Meanwhile, international bestselling authors Lang Leav and Michael Faudet expressed support for the 22-year-old celebrity.

“Wow, I love the cover! Please save me a copy @nbsalert,” the Sad Girls author tweeted.

“How exciting! I know Maine has such a passion for writing and it’s wonderful she is sharing her words with us,” Faudet posted.

Yup, I Am That Girl will be launched at the Trinoma Activity Center in Quezon City from 5pm to 8pm. Huge crowds are expected top be in attendance so come early for the registration at 1 p.m.

Mendoza first rose to fame online for her funny Dubsmash videos. She was later cast to join Eat Bulaga, the country’s longest-running noontime show, as YayaDub and was eventually paired up with actor Alden Richards, hence, the loveteam name AlDub.
