English singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran has pushed the upcoming Manila leg of his Divide Tour to next year.
The announcement was made in an Asia Tour update posted on his official website and local concert promoter Ovation Productions on Thursday, October 27.
This is Sheeran’s latest update on his tour schedules after he sustained fractures in his right wrist and left elbow in a bicycle accident mid-October.
His supposed Manila concert on November 7 at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds has been rescheduled and will be held on April 8 instead.
Filipino Sheerios need not fret because all tickets purchased for the earlier tour date will still be honored on the new date.
Unfortunately, his Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong and Jakarta concerts will not push through due to scheduling conflicts and limited venue availability.
“I’m really gutted that not all the postponed dates could be rescheduled and I am working hard with my team to try and come back to these places as soon as I can to see all of you. I’m sorry to everyone who has been affected by this,” he said in a comment posted in the same Facebook post.
It seems the ‘Shape of You’ singer tried his best to make sure no concert date would be left unattended as he has initially cancelled several tour dates in Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
Sheeran is known for his live performances with his guitar and loop equipment, and an arm injury would essentially make it difficult to perform.
