YouTube has released the top trending videos in the Philippines for 2017, with local shows and song and dance performances dominating the list. At the number one spot is a video by Pinkfong, a Korean channel famous for the “Baby Shark” dance craze.

Pinkfong, the creator of the viral “Baby Shark” clip, uploaded a special video to thank viewers for making “Baby Shark” clip into a YouTube hit. In this video, the kids in the original Baby Shark video danced to a much faster beat of the song accompanied by a large group of people and mascots.
Known for their catchy and remarkable summer station IDs, ABS-CBN welcomes summer 2017 with another fun video featuring Kapamilya stars including Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemates, finalists of the Showtime’s “Tawag ng Tanghalan,” and other upcoming teen stars.
During her blind audition for music competition Voice Teens Philippines, 17-year old Mica Becerro of General Santos City, delivered a powerful rendition of a piece from the opera The Magic Flute. After showing her vocal prowess, she got a four-chair turn and enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
Viva artist Donnalyn Bartolome, creator of this full-length film, describes this video as her debut in YouTube filmmaking. Inspired by her song “Happy Break Up,” this film explores heartbreak through the eyes of the character Valentine, a role that Donnalyn herself played. Los Angeles-based choreographer Kyle Hanagami’s dance moves for Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” is now the most popular video on his channel. In this video, trios, pairs, and solo acts take their turns dancing out parts of the song.
We all know that Filipinos really love Zumba, that’s why several videos of Zumba dance group Live Love Party have already reached millions of views including the group’s performance of Iñigo Pascual’s “Dahil Sa’yo.”
This Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS) episode last June sparked a debate on whether mermaids are mythical or real. This video documents the KMJS team’s visit to the Calayan Group of Islands, where a group of travellers allegedly caught a mermaid on camera.

Niana Guerrero, one-half of the popular sibling tandem Ranz and Niana, just can’t stop herself from dancing along to the hit song “Despacito.” This video showcases five instances when Niana stopped what she was doing to dance to the tune of Luis Fonsi and Yankee Daddy’s hit song. How cute!

Filipino artists performing OPM hits also made it to the list including KZ Tandingan, Jona, Sue Ramirez, and Moira dela Torre.
