A legend we’ve been stanning for a long time will finally be within reach.
Stan Lee, the 95-year-old American comic book writer and former editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics, is showing no signs of slowing down as he will officially headline the first ever ComicCon Asia here in Manila on March 24-25 at the SMX Convention Center.
His upcoming visit in the country – which will also be his first – comes after Marvel Comics’ new Editor-in-Chief CB Cebulski graced the Creative Day Out with Filipino pencillers and shared tips for aspiring comic artists.
“Get your spidey senses tingling as Marvel’s comic legend, Stan Lee, is coming to ComicCon Asia 2018! Who’s excited? We definitely are!” a post on the event’s Instagram page read.
Loyal Filipino comic fans can finally meet, not just the friendly neighbor who has regularly made cameo appearances in Marvel’s blockbuster movie franchises, but also the award-winning comic book writer and co-creator of superheroes that multi-generational fans across the world have come to love such as the Spider-Man, the Hulk, Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Daredevil, Thor, Black Panther, and the X-Men.
Apart from Lee, NBA star Ray Allen and the original Black Ranger from the “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” Walter Jones will also make their appearance at the two-day affair filled with competitions, talks with industry professionals, workshops from experts, and panel discussions. Tickets are priced at P1,300 for a two-day pass and P800 for a one-day pass.
