Just checking in. The first month of the new year is done, how are you doing with your #fitnessgoals #balikalindog2018 so far? Yeah… don’t worry, we’re not here to judge you. Let’s be real here, starting or even going back to a fitness routine can be hard and, to be honest, not all that appealing, considering there are other things to do that’s more fun than sweating it out in the gym or jogging.

However, according to Rica Rodriguez and Divine Masinsin, AKA The Dynamic Duo, making sure that your body gets adequate exercise every day shouldn’t be too hard to do. Rica and Divine are fitness trainers based in Dubai and they come to the Philippines regularly to train other trainers and to share their passion for fitness to everyday people who just want to live healthier lives. In fact, they have been coming in and out of the Philippines for training classes and activities leading up to FitCon Manila on May 18-20, 2018 at the Green Sun on Pasong Tamo, Makati (so watch for that!).

“It’s important to exercise — actually, we’ll change the word — it’s important to move,” Rica says. “Because, in this day and age, we get stuck in traffic, we’re working at our desks, and we lose movement. ‘If you don’t use it, you lose it.’ So the whole idea is to get the body moving so that we can do our daily function.”

Divine adds, “The body is not designed to just be sitting down all day. So what happens is you get depression, unexplainable pains, emotionally mentally and physically, because the body is in turmoil inside, wanting to move.”

So, to get us moving, and perhaps to restart our #BalikAlindog2018, Rica and Divine offer five movements that are gentle enough for those who have never really worked out, but challenging enough to give your body a full workout. Watch the video and follow along!
