Awards shows are one of the most anticipated events in Hollywood. Not only do they reveal the big winners of the past movie-going season, it also the time for celebrities to bring their most stylish self to the red carpet (and even after-parties). The movie industry’s most prestigious award-giving body, the Academy Awards, did not disappoint this year.

The 90th Academy Awards red carpet was a pool of everything stylish and striking — from bold colors, metallics, and dramatic details — almost everyone was a stunner in their designer clothes and accessories.

Here are some of the best dressed celebrities of Oscars 2018:

1. Allison Janney (I, Tonya)

It’s always tricky to wear red on the red carpet but I, Tonya star Allison Janney pulled it off in a cherry red number with dramatic sleeves that draped to the floor. She looked like the total opposite of figure skater Tonya Harding’s “monster” mom.

2. Lupita Nyong’ o (Black Panther)

Lupita Nyong’o in this black and gold dress is just as epic as Marvel’s record-breaking movie she starred in, “Black Panther.”

3. Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman)

Gal Gadot never fails to unleash wonders in and out of the Wonder Woman costume. This shimmery fringed gown with a standout necklace proves it.

4. Gina Rodriguez

The “Jane The Virgin” star was radiant and charming in this nude colored gown with a plunging neckline and dramatic skirt. The metallic silver belt around her waist was a brilliant touch, too!

5. Zendaya (The Greatest Showman)

This chocolate chiffon dress can be extremely difficult to pull off, but everyone knows how Zendaya slays the red carpet. This year’s Oscars was no different. Her gown featured an asymmetrical neckline, a long voluminous sleeve, and a full skirt that pooled around her feet. That sleek top knot also tied the whole look together perfectly.

6. Jennifer Lawrence (Awards Presenter)

Jennifer Lawrence was gorgeous in this shiny, gunmetal column dress. That dramatic eye and red-orange lip gave us the Red Sparrow feels. We can’t wait for the movie’s nominations at next year’s Oscars!

7. Helen Mirren (Award Presenter)

Helen Mirren’s timeless and classic look was simple yet stunning. She definitely rocked this blue-indigo gown with just the right pop of sparkle from a statement necklace.

8. Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther)

This look from Chadwick Boseman was just as unforgettable as his Marvel movie’s famous line, “Wakanda forever!” The gold details popped out against his all-black ensemble that only a king could possibly pull off.

9. Saoirse Ronan (Lady Bird)

We can almost taste the sweetness in Saoirse Ronan’s cotton candy strapless dress. The dramatic bow in the back was so pretty, we can’t help but blush.

10. Meryl Streep (The Post)

Meryl Streep has been nominated a total of 21 times and has won 3 Oscars before. Rocking the Oscars carpet is an easy-peasy task, which was very obvious in her red dress look for this year’s prestigious awards ceremony.

Betty Gabriel continued her stylish streak in the awards season with this dreamy, teal, plunge ball gown. We’re low-key wishing we could cop this gown for ourselves and have it on display.

12. Nicole Kidman (Awards Presenter)

We swear, Allison Williams could’ve come out of a fairy tale. She was absolutely radiant in this nude gown with beaded detailing. Can we just say, too, that her hair looks like she just finished filming a commercial for Pantene? So sleek!

14. Margot Robbie (I, Tonya)

We’ve seen her as crazed supervillain Harley Quinn and as tough figure skater Tonya Harding. Margot Robbie, however, channeled her most elegant side for the awards ceremony with a crisp white, Chanel dress.

Another ball of sunshine who made heads turn was “Baby Driver” actress Eiza Gonzales. Her backless, canary yellow gown boasted simplicity and natural beauty.
