After releasing his first full-length album last year, folk singer-songwriter Ian Penn will be doing a 22-city Philippine tour starting this March!

The Pampanga-based musician is taking his music all over the Philippines to promote his album Water from the Creek. He will play acoustic sets in museums, cafés, and art spaces in different provinces in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Some shows will also have a full band set-up with Apartel‘s Pat Sarabia, Marc Inting of Twin Lobsters, and The Geeks’s Jam Lorenzo.

Joining him on the tour are musicians Joee & I, which will be part of the Visayas and Mindanao legs, and Mariah Yonic of The Buildings, Ilang Ylang-Ylang?, BRAIN TWINS, and The Male Gaze for the North Luzon shows.

Aside from these Manila-based artists, each leg of the tour will have featured local musicians like Robynn, Jen Rogers, Kulitan Kapampangan Script, ビクター MKI, and many more.

Visual and performance artist Jeona Zoleta will be also on board to take charge of the set design for the Visayas shows.

Ian Penn released his first EP Wild Abandon and has gone on a tour around the Philippines with Dragonfly Collector in 2015. His album Water from the Creek is also part of FHM Philippines’ “40 Local Albums That Best Defined 2017.”
