Filipinos love sweets and cold treats to stay cool under the smoldering heat of the sun. There’s the uniquely Filipino halo-halo but there’s also the eternal favorite, ice cream. While there are already so many to choose from (basic to exotic), it’s still exciting to see unique ice cream flavors to try. After all, summer is all about adventure, right?
We recently got to try the new flavors of OG ice cream manufacturer, Magnolia. Here are their new and unique ice cream flavors for the sunny season:
How is it possible that we’re only trying out this flavor now? Tablea Yema is a yummy toss-up between the thick amd bittersweet taste of tablea chocolate swirled with the intensely rich custard goodness of yema fudge and ripple.
Taro White Cheese
Now this is a step up from an ultimate childhood favorite. The Taro White Cheese is a perfect mix of dual based taro ice cream with just the right amount of sweetness complimented by white cheese ice cream with cheese bits both sweet and salty.
This flavor reminds us of our mom’s good ol’ buko salad. Macapuno Caramel is a delightful combinatiom of the sweet macapuno flavor with macapuno bits swirled with mellow yet rich caramel fudge.
