Failures were always meant to teach us a lesson and Sandra Lemonon – popularly known as Binibini 35 – is taking it in a stride.

After her question-and-answer segment at the recently-concluded Binibining Pilipinas 2018 went viral, Lemonon paid a visit to Department of Public Works and Highways “Build Build Build” Committee Chairperson Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo to acquaint herself of the current administration’s big-ticket infrastructure program.

If Binibining Pilipinas event happened today, I’m sure it would be an entirely different story. Time to #BuildBuildBuild. 🙂 Thank you Binibining Pilipinas 35 Sandra Lemonon.

The meeting was also set for a “surprise project” connected to the program. There are no details yet about the said project, but the sight of Lemonon with authorities directly involved with big-ticket infrastructure projects is proving to be a commendable move for the Filipina beauty.

Lemonon, who was first up on the coronation night’s much-anticipated Q&A segment, was asked about her insights on the “Build, Build, Build” Program. “Actually, I studied so much about this Q and A but this is something I don’t know much about. But at least I’m here trying to answer the question. Thank you,” she replied.

Binibini 35 quickly climbed up the Twitter trends list and brought light to the government’s grand plan to accelerate infrastructure and the development of industries to push for economic growth, create jobs, and ultimately uplift the lives of Filipinos.

While she failed to bring home a crown, the Top 15 finalist and strong favorite among pageant fans has won the public’s sympathy.

“It is in that moment when Sandra Lemonon showed that there is a human character to being a beauty queen, that being beautiful is not merely all about acing questions, that being beautiful is also about honesty,” one netizen tweeted.

“Be a Sandra Lemonon in this world full of pretentious and pabibos,” another tweet said.

We’re excited to see what’s next for Sandra Lemonon but for now, we’ll support her while she builds herself up for next year’s Bb. Pilpinas pageant.
