Jennifer Lawrence has been dubbed “Rudeness Everdeen” after snapping/slamming/scolding/calling out a foreign journalist during an interview at the Golden Globes on January 11, 2016. Media had a lot of take on this 23-second video clip which has gone viral, but what we can see in this incident is a notable life advice from the 25-year-old actress.
In case you’re wondering, JLaw allegedly lost her chill because the reporter did not even bother to look up from his phone while asking questions to the award-winning actress.
JLaw’s advice is very much appropriate for phone-addicted millennials. “You gotta live in the now,” said the Academy award winner.
She’s right, you know? Life cannot be fully lived in the tiny screens on our hands. Experience life’s adventures. Go out that door! Climb that mountain! Swim in the sea!
Go on a great adventure not just for the heck of uploading Instagram-worthy photos and selfies. Embrace each moment and live fully.

Here’s a transcript of the short snippet:
Reporter: “How do see yourself for the Oscars night?”
Lawrence: “You can’t live your whole life behind your phone, bro.”
Lawrence: “You just can’t do that. You gotta live in the now, you know?”
Reporter: “Oh, sorry! Sorry. (Laughs) How do you see yourself for the Oscar night, and how was working–”
Lawrence: “We’re at the Golden Globes. If you put your phone down, you’d know that.”
Oh, and before you react violently, here’s the whole six-minute video of the interview. Jump to 5:05 for the controversial part:
