We all have been at that stage in our childhood wherein we would like to enter the world of Disney and be our favorite character even just for a day. I’m sure you’ve quoted the heroes and heroines or at least sung along to their melodic theme songs at some point. We even know guys who can sing along to I’ll Make a Man Out of You, no matter how they are as mysterious as the dark side of the moon!

Here’s good news for the young and the young-hearted millennials out there: Disney is brewing more movies and remakes and you better watch out for them as early as now. Lead cast members have been dropping Easter eggs every now and then… so be alert.

1. The Jungle Book 2

Just last Tuesday (April 26, 2016), Disney confirmed that it is planning to make a sequel for The Jungle Book after its box-office smash for the past week.  Mowgli’s going to be back for the second time around. This is going to be wild!

2. Maleficent 2

Of course, Angelina Jolie will be reprising her gorgeous role as the dark villain from our favorite Sleeping Beauty story. We have never seen a baddie in such a good light and we’re oh-so-excited for this.

3. Mary Poppins

This is a totally supercalifragilisticexpialidocious news! Based on the 1964 musical fantasy classic Mary Poppins, Emily Blunt will be returning to the big screen and accompany everyone for a walk in the park with her trusty parrot-head umbrella and traveling bag.

4. Cruella

If you hate Cruella of 101 Dalmatians so much, Disney will be giving us reasons to love her. Why, Emma Stone will be taking the role of this stylish villain in the spin-off of the arf-solutely amazing 1996 movie.

5. Tinker Bell

Who doesn’t know the pixie fairy following Peter Pan in all of his adventures in Neverland? Tinker Bell will be taking the spotlight soon in an upcoming remake of Peter Pan. From what we’ve heard, Reese Witherspoon will be playing the role of the fun-loving fairy.

6. Dumbo

Remember Dumbo, the little elephant with huge ears? Get ready to face a new version of our favorite elephant’s story in the eyes of the new generation. This flick will be based on the 1941 Disney classic. Here’s the catch: Tim Burton will be taking on the director duties for this one!

Although we still don’t have much idea, our reports from Manila Bulletin reveal that the live-action fairytales are slated to be released sometime in December 2017, April 2018, and December 2019. We still have a few years to read and re-watch the classics to our heart’s desire. But here are movies hitting theaters soon:

7. Alice Through the Looking Glass

Care for some tea with the Mad Hatter? Alice will be returning to the whimsical world of Underland this May through a Looking Glass to save her beloved friends. |Again to be directed by Tim Burton, Alice Through the Looking Glass is a sequel of the 2010 film Alice in Wonderland. You know what that means: More Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, and Mia Wasikowska!

8. Beauty and the Beast

Late January this year, Walt Disney Co. announced that Emma Watson will be starring as Belle in the live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast, which is already underway. On January 27, Watson shared the good news and even shared a Facebook post expressing her excitement for the film! Expect this sometime in March 2017.

We’ll keep you posted!
