Summer is upon us and the heat is intense! It’s a pain to be a coffee lover in the midst of summer in Manila – scorching hot afternoons and all. But, who says you can only enjoy your favorite drink the conventional way? And no, I’m also not talking about Frappuccinos and iced coffee.
At Magnum Opus Fine Coffees, they’re offering a full Cold Drip menu. Cold drip, you say? For those unfamiliar, the cold drip movement has grown in popularity the past few months, starting with many specialty coffee shops around the metro. Cold drip, according to MO’s ‘Head Bean’, Jonathan Choi, is when you “percolate a bed of coffee with a slow drip over a period of time, as opposed to steeping the grounds in the water.”
Being one of the third wave coffee pioneers, Magnum Opus, shows us how to enjoy cold drip coffee in 4 ways.
- Iced Black
2. Iced White
4. Iced Mocha
The beauty of cold drip is that you can also take a bottle home! The store sells a bottled concentrate of their Cold Drip Coffee prepared daily. It normally serves two, but I guess you can drink it in one sitting? Your choice of course.
The perfect afternoon pick-me-up drink on a hot summer day! Thirsty yet?
