And just like that, Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila’s yearly Wine Days is back!
While the main aim is to celebrate French wine tradition, Wine Days is a great start for anybody looking to learn more about wines, maybe even those considering becoming sommeliers in the future.
A full moon party will happen on Sunday, October 16 which will feature a wide range of vino from the Strait Wines Company, a great opportunity to expose yourself to the many regions, kinds, and vintage.
If you’re more the classroom lecture type of person, sign up for the wine appreciation class happening on Oct 20 at Spiral. A wine specialist from France will conduct the lecture.
On Oct 23, Sunday Brunch at Spiral will feature at least 60 wines from France’s top wine-making regions.
If bubbly is more your thing, swing by Sofitel on Oct 27 for a champagne event hosted by Moet & Chandon, Dom Perignon, and Krug.
But if you’re truly dead serious about a career in wine, you should totally check out the Level 1 certificate course and exam of the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) happening on Oct 29 from 9am to 7pm.
WSET, in case you didn’t know, is a British organization that provides education in wine and spirits. Its qualifications are globally recognized as the international standard in wine and spirit knowledge so you know you’ll be in the right track. There are only 15 slots available so if you’re serious about educating yourself in all things wine, here is a good opportunity.
