If you’re one of many shopaholics who are quick to get tired of their fashion choices, Fringy should be able to help you, at least in the shoe department.
They’re detachable shoe accessories that can breathe new life to your tired ol’ lace-ups. Simply put them on, or if you’re feeling creative, layer them up and mix and match pieces to make for even more new looks.
According to Pierra Calasanz-Labrador, Fringy was conceptualized by Michelle Hui Lao and Yendy Venturina Yu, two fashionable ladies on one of their many shopping trips.
“We chanced upon these adorable Prada brogues that had detachable fringes/kilties. I remember thinking, ‘Hey, this would be a fantastic way to dress up our sneakers and lace-up shoes,” Michelle says.
They made one for themselves and knew right away there was a gap in the market Fringy could address.
And address it did. From its initial collection of neutral tones and basic brights, these leather shoe accessories now come in a variety of patterns, colors, and designs.
Fringy has also started its hand-painted line courtesy of resident artist Astrud Celina Fernandez, and has offered bespoke services, too.
Just today, Friday, October 21, Fringy has started accepting orders for its tassels and fur clips, a quick expansion of their product line.
Nifty, aren’t they? And certainly cheaper than buying another pair of shoes, too. Check more photos below!
