Everybody knows the way to handle the expected holiday weight gain is to lose weight before party season. Which means, you better start losing weight now.
You can either go on a cleanse and/or a diet or you can start working out. For the latter, the arrival of two new Fitbit models must sound like music to your ears.
There’s the first-ever water-resistant fitness wristband Fitbit Flex 2 that tracks pool swims including laps, duration, and calories burned. It’s water-resistant up to 50 meters, smaller by 30 percent, and features a removable tracker and interchangeable fitness bands in seven colors.
The Fitbit Charge 2 meanwhile wants to be your workout buddy. Apart from promising to be more engaging and motivating, the Charge 2 also promises to be more personal—you know, to help you reach your goals.
It tracks specific workouts like runs, bike rides, weights, and yoga, as well as post-exercise summaries and detailed report of your activity.
It offers continuous heart rate tracking to help maximize workouts and better track calorie burns. You can get real-time exercise stats on the display so you can adjust and improve according to your fitness goals.
The Charge 2 also offers “Relax,” personalized deep-breathing sessions by determining your personalized breathing rate.
What more, it automatically tracks your whole day, issuing reminders when you’ve become sedentary, helping you stay active and make a workout from the usual walk to the cafeteria from your office table.
Now, if all these tracking options don’t help your workout sessions, at the very least you get a new candy for your wrists.
