Over on Viva Manila’s Facebook page, we learned that the Metropolitan Theater will throw open its doors for two nights this month to host a spectacular dance event.
On Dec 16 and Dec 17, the Metropolitan Theater will host “P-Noise/Nordlys Manila Dance Edition,” the first major event in the country to feature Nordic performers. Incidentally, this will also be the first dance performance the Art Deco building will host in 20 long years.
“P-Noise/Nordlys Manila Dance Edition” is a free dance concert featuring 20 dancers and choreographers from Denmark. Both performances will start at 6pm and will end with a walking tour towards Fred’s Revolucion in The Hub Make Lab at the First United Building on Escolta Street for what we can surmise as a grand spanking party.
Have we mentioned it’s free?
The Metropolitan Theater was declared a national landmark in 1973. It was designed by National Artist Juan Arellano with sculptural works done by Italian sculptor Francesco Riccardo Monti.
