Ely, Raimund and Buddy of the Eraserheads are reuniting for a one-night-only benefit, titled Subterranean Sessions for Palanca award winning author and audiophile, Luis Katigbak. Joining them are local class acts from Cuidad, Tarsius, Lourd De Veyra of Radioactive Sago Project, Diego Castillo, Dong Abay and Kakoy Legaspi. Katigbak, according to online posts from his friends, has been confined at the hospital since December of last year.
Katigbak’s literary works are ubiquitous in the publishing and music industry. Apart from editing local glossies such as Esquire Philippines, UNO, and BURN Magazine, he is best known for his collection of short stories titled Happy Endings, followed by The King of Nothing to Do, which was also the title of his column for The Manila Bulletin. His latest book of short stories is titled Dear Distance, which will be out this January.
