If there’s a takeaway from the latest data from Spotify, it’s that dancing is the favorite form of exercise among Filipinos.
Of the 25 million workout playlists found in the music streaming app, Dance Workout is the most streamed workout playlist in the country (it’s the most streamed workout playlist in the world, FYI).
In the Philippines, Dance Workout is followed by Cardo, Beastmode, Motivation Mix, and HIIT Pop playlists, showing more proof that we like to dance, and dance hard.
Meanwhile, Drake’s “One Dance” is the most streamed workout song in the Philippines. It’s not surprising: The song off Drake’s 2016 release Views is short, sweet, and groovy. It’s great as a warm-up, cool-down, or as a transition track toward a higher intensity workout.
Unlike the rest of the world however that groove to hip-hop, the Philippines like to shake their booty to dance-pop/EDM. Calvin Harris’s “This is What You Came For” is included in the top five, as “Bang Bang” by Jessie J, Nicki Minaj, and Ariana Grande.
We list the five most-streamed workout tracks in the Philippines.
1. One Dance—Drake
2. Light It Up (feat. Nyla & Fuse ODG) Remix—Major Lazer
3. Lust Life—Zara Larsson
4. This is What You Came For—Calvin Harris
5. Bang Bang—Jessie J, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande
