Things FINALLY got real! It’s about time to break the unachievable slim and “perfect” image set by these Barbie girls in a Barbie world, made of plastic, it’s (not so) fantastic.

The true body shapes depicted in the latest transformation of Barbie was applauded by everybody since Mattel made the announcement on January 28, 2016. It’s about time the girls get introduced what pretty, beautiful, and stunning REALLY means.

Say goodbye to the unusually slim and svelte Barbie and say hello to the new line of real-life girl dolls consisting of four body types:  tall, curvy, petite–and yes, plus the original one. They now have different skin tones – seven to be exact — as well as 22 new eye colors, 30 hair hues, 24 hair styles, and 14 types of face sculpts.

We’re guessing this was also made for moms who grew up with the “perfectly sculpted” Barbies.

This, however, is not the first time that Mattel released a Barbie with a different look. Back in 1980, they have also marketed Black Barbie who sported an afro hairdo.

Over at Twitterworld, here’s how the conversation about the new dolls went:
