Another Pinoy pride has recently surfaced from Los Angeles, California.

A 17-year-old brainiac math whiz named Cedrick Argueta, a senior at the Abraham Lincoln High School, has become an instant celebrity with various media outlets celebrating his success in acing the notoriously mind-boggling Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus exam.

Do take note that Cedrick is amazingly one out of 12 who got a perfect score out of the 302,531 students who took the mind-crushing exam. Talk about ultimate bragging rights!

The teenage genius is a son of Marcos Argueta, a Salvadoran maintenance worker, and Lilian, a Filipina licensed vocational nurse.

An AP Calculus AB exam tests the fundamental theories of Calculus through a series of multiple-choice and free-response problems.

According to a report from KTLA 5 News, Cedrick dreams of working at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory once he finishes his studies.

To quote Albert Einstein: “Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them.”
