1. Loose Portraits in Watercolor Workshop with enondebelen
Getting in touch with your creative side will be a breeze with this watercolor workshop by artist enondebelen. Participants will learn how to transform portraits into loose watercolor paintings with their own paints and brushes. The workshop only accepts seven participants with the first two confirmed attendees getting original paintings of their choice, while the succeeding partakers can avail the remaining artworks at a discounted price.

2. Halili-Cruz Ballet Summer Classes
Offering a total of 600sqm of studio space, well established ballet syllabus, and highly experienced teachers, the Halili-Cruz School of Dance’s (HCSD) Halili-Cruz School of Ballet lined up different dance courses for both the children and the young-at-heart this summer; the school accommodates kiddos as young as three years old and adults as young as 65! With invited mentors from Russia and England, the students are sure to hone their methods during the season’s intensive dance program. 3. On the Spot: An Urban Sketching Workshop
Discover the wills of drawing by observation with this creative class from Creative Verve. The Urban Sketching Workshop by Aurelio Castro III seeks to teach its participants about space, movement, and structure with their own style all the while experimenting with different media (e.g. pen, pencil, and watercolor).
4. Sketchy Characters: a character-creation workshop
This time in partnership with Haliya Publishing, Creative Verve offers yet another workshop to awaken the sleeping creative in you. Learn how to bring characters to life out of your hobbyhorse with this workshop led by award-winning comic creator Mervin Malonzo. A series of drawing and conceptualization exercises will be held for whatever work of art you are inclined to do and it is most definitely open for beginners!
5. Funny Grammar Workshop
If you’re looking to sharpen your grammar skills, this two-hour lecture is for you! Aside from being informative, the talk is guaranteed to give you a load of laughs and helpful advices on not falling through the pitfalls of the faulty Pinoy styles of English. Oh, did we mention that this workshop is absolutely free?

6. Into the Bloom: Paper-flower making
Open to all craft experience levels, this flower-making workshop is especially made for anyone interested with creating new (and pretty) things with acquainted materials. Basic mixing and matching of colors, painting, and variations of composition will be taught in the class with the aim of making a full-bloomed bouquet at the end of the session.
7. Learn the Basics of Modern Calligraphy by Rache Gatdula
Master the fundamentals of calligraphy with this workshop by calligrapher/graphic designer Rache Gatdula hosted by Sketchpad Workshops. Rache has been giving seminars on the practice all the while doing digital garment printing and decal designs for her family’s business. For this sitting, the overflow of snacks and coffee has been wonderfully promised.

Catering to both beginners and intermediate poets, this class by Praxis Literary Collective and DITO: Bahay ng Sining promises to help you refine the craft of writing and expressing yourself beautifully. With main facilitators Ian Christopher Sudiacal, Jay Crisostomo V, and Justin Ayran, the workshop runs every Saturday of May (6, 13, and 20, 2017), capping off with a performance night on May 27, 2017.

9. Storywriting Basics: Storytelling
True to its name, the session will feature a 12-hour writing course on narration, balancing description and action, and appropriate phrasing, among others. The workshop, led by published author and playwright Dr. Joem Antonio, assures to leave its attendees with a basic understanding of the 12 fundamental human reactions, the knowledge of working through said reactions, an acquired method for developing the narrative with the responses, and a process testing a draft with the set of human retorts.
