While Fully Booked is known to be a favorite in terms of all things literature (reading and writing included, but of course), the bookstore also champions culture, film, and the arts and crafts.
Take for instance last month’s Art Battle Manila, an artistic shebang wherein 12 artists and two wild cards went head-to-head on canvas painting in three, 20-minute rounds. The audiences determined the winner who took home P5,000 in cash and P10,000 worth of Fully Booked GCs. Artist Jan Fresco emerged the lucky duck.
This time, however, Fully Booked is inviting us to make a colorful summer with various activities lined up for its Summer Art Buffet! And because it’s a gift that keeps on giving, the book store has scheduled several sessions of painting, drawing, sketching, and doodling. It happens every Friday within the next two months.
Here’s the hook: It’s free of charge.
With materials from Sakura Gelly Roll and Faber-Castell, the buffet will feature workshops from celebrated artists including The Googly Gooeys’ Tipsy and Pong, a real life couple (promise!) who’ve done exceptional work for Summit Books, have given workshops at the Ayala Museum, and whose name just sounds fcking cool.
It’s almost like a traveling workshop, too, stopping over several Fully Booked locations, including Fully Booked Greenbelt 5, Fully Booked Bonifacio High Street, and S Maison Main Atrium at Conrad Hotel.
