American actor, director, and producer David Schwimmer, popularly known for playing the nerdy Ross Geller on the widely acclaimed TV sitcom Friends, has produced a film series on sexual harassment called #ThatsHarassment with Mazdack Rassi and Israeli-American director Sigal Avin.
Starring a roster of stars including Cynthia Nixon, Emmy Rossum, Grace Gummer, Bobby Cannavale, Cristela Alonzo, and David Schwimmer himself, the stories shot in a single weekend made their debut yesterday.
The six-episode #ThatsHarassment campaign depict tales based on real life incidents about subtle deeds made by men distressing the females they’re having exchanges with. Episodes have the titles such as “The Coworker,” “The Actor,” “The Boss,” “The Doctor,” “The Photographer,” and “The Politician.”
The movement aims to power through against such acts passed on to women in various settings by men from different walks of life. And though they made be look totally white and American, the issue it tackles is universal.
