Fancy eating Liempochina, Tapachinabels, and Embutidey? Those are actually just liempo, tapa, and embutido meal in distinct beki speak—which is how everybody should call those dishes in Bekylog, a super cute beki-themed eatery in Cavite.

Established in July 28, 2015, Bekylog has been consistently beki-cute from its name down to its witty menu. Witness: On its Facebook page, Bekylog describes itself as a: “munting lafangan para sa mga tom jones na mudrakels, pudrakels, jupiter, ombre, gelay, badet, tambolina, thunders, jogets, biway, chaka, gandara, antibiotic, eksenadora, insekyora, effem, paminta, otoko, shala, mimosa, garapata, emengard, julalay, plastikada, nagmamaasim, borta at sa mga jordinaryong nilalang.”

Got any of that?

And because we’re so curious, we interviewed one of the owners to know more about the eatery.

According to Geny Mapanoo, one of Bekylog’s owners, the name of the restaurant is actually a acronym of her children’s initials: Bernard, Enice, Kenneth, and Yvette.

While the dishes are regular eatery fare, they’ve been given a makeover, thanks to the beki friends of of the the daughters, Enice, who gave them their funky new names.

Their menu is divided into three categories: murayta (cheap) meals, maharlika (expensive) meals, and special jorders and desserts. Super witty!

Ha ha!,” she added.

Bekylog is located at 439 J.M. Loyola St. Brgy. 4 Carmona, Cavite. Mon to Fri, 11am to 10pm.
