If the Easter story tells us anything, it’s that we always rise again.
It’s no secret that Kris Aquino had a rough 2016. She’s still not on TV, she’s still finding her way on the Internet—there’s no real concrete plans that fans
haters can look forward to.
On Instagram Sunday, Kris Aquino revealed that she was offered a role for a “Hollywood studio movie that will begin shooting soon.”
She quickly followed it up with another post, this time showcasing her suite at The Peninsula in Hollywood. Uh huh, Krissy is already in Hollywood “to meet Chris Lee, my agent to sign my contract.”
Oh, how exciting!
It’s almost comparable to a roller coaster: On March 23, Kris was approached by Grammy award-winning Broadway producer Jhett Tolentino. “He was helping a Filipino-Chinese-American agent friend reach me to ask if I’d want to audition for a big Hollywood studio movie,” Kris narrates.
She had to submit a reel in 72 hours; Kris delivered in 48. “I passed 5 levels of intense scrutiny and was offered a role. It is surreal to be reading the script from a major Hollywood studio watermarked on every page with my name,” she describes the experience.
She can’t yet disclose anything so all we can do is guess…and snoop around.
Now, we’re wondering: Are we reading too much into the following? Kris Aquino posted what’s below on Instagram about four days days. In case you missed the memo: A movie adaption of Crazy Rich Asians is currently being made.
And then the bomb: Preview.ph on Monday afternoon revealed that Kris Aquino has indeed landed a role in the much-awaited movie.
